UPS providing faster Spanish connections

UPS has announced a series of enhancements to its ground network which the company says will result in more exporting opportunities for customers in Spain. The investment will results in a faster cross-border UPS Standard service for packages sent from Bilbao, Valencia, Zaragoza and some of the surrounding areas.

“We have improved our transit time from key parts of Spain to parts of the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, France, Belgium, and the Netherlands for our most economical service,” said Wilfredo Ramos, managing director, UPS Spain & Portugal.

“While our fastest service will always be UPS Express, we have shaved up to two days off our transit time in these areas for our cross border standard service.”

Ramos added: “UPS is investing in a fast, economical network that connects the rest of Europe to Spain so that our customers can benefit from it. The upgraded ground connections to Bilbao, Valencia and Zaragoza are part of our plan to invest $2 billion in our European network by 2019.”
