Capsule launches New York prescription meds delivery service

Start-up company Capsule has launched a new service delivering prescription medicines to homes and offices in New York. The firm was set up by investment specialist Eric Kinariwala and Sonia Patel, a pharmacist who has worked with Walmart to help “troubleshoot underperforming pharmacies”.

Capsule is available via a smartphone app that connects to the customer’s doctor and then delivers medicines via messenger.

The delivery hours are Monday through Friday from 8am to 10pm and Saturday to Sunday from 10am to 6pm.

According to Capsule, all the firm’s couriers are “fully insured full-time employees who undergo rigorous background checks and training, including the DOT Commercial Bicyclist Safety Course and HIPAA security training”. The medication is delivered in “discreet, tamper sealed packages”.
