InPost Malaysia and MatDespatch.com team up

InPost Malaysia and MatDespatch.com have reportedly signed a partnership agreement. According to local sources, the partnership will mean that online retailers and their customers will have the option of using both MatDespatch’s same-day pickup and delivery services, and InPost’s 24-hour self-service parcel lockers.

InPost Malaysia Sdn Bhd managing director Rosland Mohd Jannes reportedly told the Malaysian news agency Bernama: “This partnership is vital, as during this festive season, MatDespatch and InPOST Parcel Lockers will still be operational 24/7, while other express couriers may stop accepting next day delivery to clear peak season backlog, and some only restarting delivery on July 12.

“We are pleased to announce that the cross-platform sales with MatDespatch will enable smart and continuous logistics and delivery services during this and other festive seasons.”

InPost has lockers installed at a variety of locations in Malaysia, including selected Petronas petrol stations and Tesco hypermarkets.

MatDespatch.com’s Chief Executive Officer and founder Hanif Wahid was quoted as saying: “We will collect items at your doorstep and deliver in 12 hours to the premises concerned, or at your selected InPost locker.”
