4PX Express takes Dunstable distribution centre
Chinese cross-border e-commerce company 4PX Express has taken on a 240,000 square foot unit at Prologis Park Dunstable. The company is expanding its operations in the UK and the new facility at Prologis Park Dunstable will be an import, storage and distribution centre for its UK and European operations.
“With the growth of e-commerce in the UK there is an increasing demand for our one-stop e-commerce service, and we are delighted to have secured this new building,” said Henry Qi, regional general manager Europe, 4PX.
The distribution centre will be operational in time for Christmas deliveries, and 4PX anticipates that the new operation will bring up to 400 jobs to the town by early 2017.
Headquartered in Shenzhen, PRC, 4PX is one of China’s biggest e-commerce solutions providers, serving more than 20,000 merchants in more than 50 locations in China and globally. The capabilities that 4PX offers its customers include logistics services such as warehousing, express delivery and freight forwarding, as well as software and consulting.
Formed in 2004, 4PX has more than 2,600 employees and operates warehouses in China, Australia, UK, Germany and the US.
In February this year, Singapore Post (SingPost) upped its stake in 4PX from 18% to almost 36%.
