Dutch TPG Applies For Cost Compensation At Fiat Plant

Dutch mail, express and logistics company, TPG N.V. Wednesday said that through its business unit TNT Logistics Italy, the company has started an official procedure in Italy to obtain the approval for a 12-month work stoppage for 665 employees at Fiat Auto’s Torino Mirafiori plant.

Through this procedure, TPG expects to be reimbursed by the Italian government for its costs related to these employees. The employees, which constitute one third of TNT Logistics employees at the plant, will stop work temporarily due to a decline in volumes during the last year at the Mirafiori plant.
