FedEx’s Mike Glenn to retire

FedEx has announced that T. Michael Glenn, executive vice president, market development and corporate communications, will retire at the end of this year. Glenn has led the company’s marketing, sales, customer service and communications groups for over twenty years.

Robert B. Carter, currently Chief Information Officer and Co-CEO of FedEx Services with Glenn, will become the CEO of FedEx Services from 1 January and will oversee the administration of common information technology, sales, solutions, marketing and corporate communications for our operating companies. In addition, David J. Bronczek, CEO of FedEx Express, will become President and Chief Operating Officer of FedEx on 1 January 2018. From 1 January 2017, Bronczek will become the Chairman of the Revenue Management Committee replacing Glenn.

Glenn joined FedEx Express in 1981 as a senior sales specialist. He became Senior Vice President, Marketing and Corporate Communications of FedEx Express in 1993, and assumed responsibilities for customer service the next year. He has been Executive Vice President, Market Development and Corporate Communications of FedEx Corp. since its formation in 1998. He also has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of FedEx Services since 2000.
