Tone Wille to be the new Group CEO of Posten Norge

The board of Posten Norge has appointed Tone Wille as the new CEO of the Group. Wille has been senior vice president/CFO of Posten Norge since September 2012. She has also been a member of Posten Norge’s group management for four years and director of finance and corporate governance in the Mail Division for six years.

Before coming to Posten Norge, she was investment director at Norfund and senior VP and CFO of GE Energy (Norway) AS and of Kværner Energy AS. She has a master’s degree in economics and business administration.

Wille will take over as Group CEO on 10 October. The current Group CEO, Dag Mejdell, resigned in April after almost 11 years in the role.

“I really appreciate the confidence shown in me by the board and look forward to taking up the position,” said Wille. “Posten Norge is facing new demanding reorganisation processes in line with society’s increasing digitalisation.

“I’m humble about taking over from Dag Mejdell, who has really made his mark as Group CEO during a period of restructuring and industrial development for the Group. However, I know the Group’s activities well from the inside. Our skilled employees and considerable willingness and ability to further develop the Group in the digital era mean we have a good foundation for future success in the market.”
