Tesco trialling chilled beer and cider delivery service

Tesco trialling chilled beer and cider delivery service

UK supermarket Tesco is trialling a chilled beer and cider delivery service for customers in south east London, Bromley and Dartford. Customers in the test coverage area can order the chilled drinks along with the rest of their groceries – and the delivery vans are equipped to keep their beer and cider at the optimum temperature.

A Tesco spokesperson told Post&Parcel that the trials started a couple of weeks ago. If the trials are successful, Tesco would look to extend the service.

In related news, Tesco announced yesterday (17 October)  that the demand for “craft beers” has “rocketed by 130% in the last year” – and in response to this growth the supermarket will be increasing its range over the next week from two to more than 30 different craft beers in more than 400 high street stores across the country.
