Amazon Prime Now in London offering one-hour delivery from local shops

Amazon has announced that the Prime Now service in London now offers one-hour deliveries of products from select local shops, in addition to 15,000 items offered by Amazon. In a statement issued today (9 November) Amazon said: “Prime customers in selected London postcodes are now able to purchase luxury health, wellbeing and beauty products from John Bell & Croyden – pharmacists to Her Majesty The Queen – and fine wines and spirits from Spirited Wines.”

The Prime members can choose delivery within one hour of ordering for £6.99, or delivery within a choice of two-hour, same-day delivery slots at no extra charge between 8am and 10pm. The minimum order value for Prime Now is £20 per store.

Prime Now launched in London in June 2015 and is now available in selected postcodes in London, Hertfordshire, Surrey, Birmingham, Newcastle, Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool, Portsmouth, South Yorkshire and Glasgow.

The annual fee for Prime membership is £79.
