Exel unveils further expansion with new leading facility in the heart of the Middle East
Exel, the world leader in global supply chain solutions, has today revealed the establishment of a new facility in the Middle East’s largest marketplace, Saudi Arabia, expanding its presence in this key region and strengthening its scope for customers.
Entering the Dammam Re-export (Free) Zone in Saudi Arabia is an important move for Exel as it continues to extend its positioning in the Middle East. The Dammam Re-export (Free) Zone is a key location-new and competing with the thriving Jebel Ali Free Zone in Dubai-allowing Exel to improve its links with customers, suppliers and agents in Saudi Arabia by being situated closer to them.
From the new facility, Exel will deliver integrated services including airfreight, warehousing, distribution and customs management, in addition to flexible, tailored logistics solutions. This supports the Company’s existing infrastructure in the Middle East and develops its transportation and logistics network still further, enhancing its responsiveness to meet individual customer’s specific requirements.
Nigel Parkes, Country Manager for Saudi Arabia at Exel, underlined: “In 2002 Exel has continued to build on its leading position in the Middle East as an important strategic trading centre. This site in Saudi Arabia highlights our commitment to the region and adds an important facility to support our existing transportation network across this geographic theatre.”
