John Lewis extends cut off date for pre-Christmas collection

John Lewis extends cut off date for pre-Christmas collection

Responding to media reports about Christmas delivery schedules, John Lewis has sent a statement to Post&Parcel today (21 December) to “clarify” that is has “categorically not brought forward its Click and Collect cut off date”. There have been claims in some UK media reports this morning that John Lewis had brought forward its cut-off time and date in order to “avoid chaos in stores” in the run-up to Christmas.

Instead, the retailer is actually extending its Christmas window by an extra day.

The statement continued: “This morning we are pleased to confirm that we will extend the ordering cut off date to 8pm on 23rd December for pre-Christmas collection in all John Lewis shops.

“The cut off date for ordering to collect at Waitrose shops remains the 22nd December, in line with previous years.”
