T-Systems and Roambee team up for E2E visibility

Deutsche Telekom’s corporate customer arm, T-Systems, and Silicon Valley-based Internet of Things (IoT) company Roambee have announced a partnership to offer a real-time visibility solution for goods and assets. According to a statement issued by Roambee today (12 January), the end-to-end solution will not only feature real time visibility and tracking but also monitor the condition of shipments and assets.

Roambee will provide pre-built Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications that include wireless portable sensor devices (called “Bees”) and cloud-based software, robust reporting, and predictive analytics. The solution will be supported by T-Systems’ global infrastructure of data centres and system integration expertise.

In a further strengthening of the ties between the two companies, Deutsche Telekom Strategic Investments recently led a Series B round by investing $3.1m in Roambee.
