Swedish Posten Sverige AB posts operating loss of SEK703M
Swedish postal services company Posten Sverige AB issued on Monday (3 March) its financial report for 2002, posting an operating loss of SEK703m, as compared to a loss of SEK150m in 2001.
The sharp decline was due to development and administrative costs, and to difficulties in adjusting costs to lower mail volumes and fewer cashier service transactions.
Posten said that during 2003 it would undertake a rationalisation of its cashier service operations.
