Pall-Ex backs unsung heroes
Pall-Ex is to sponsor the Award for Service to the Freighting Industry, a new category making its debut at this year ‘s IFW Awards.
The awards, now one of the social highlights of the freighting calendar, will be presented as part of the IFW summer party at the Honourable Artillery Co in London on Monday 9 June.
The service award is designed to acknowledge the contribution of our industry’s “unsung heroes” – companies in vital support roles to freight forwarders and carriers.
Pall-Ex, the UK’s largest pallet network with 86 members, moved into a new £10m ( t14.5m) hub in Leicestershire in March and is expanding internationally.
Alan Cramley, sales and marketing director, said: “PallEx is delighted to be involved in the 2003 IFW Awards as we believe it is important for the industry to celebrate business successes.” This year ‘s awards will be hosted by BBC presenter Jeremy Vine (above), who now has his own radio show after establishing a reputation as a tough-talking interviewer on Newsnight. He also fronts a new Sunday TV programme, The Politics Show.
