London on-demand delivery startup Jinn closing down

The London-based on-demand delivery startup Jinn has reportedly closed down. According to a report published by Business Insider, Jinn sent a message to staff yesterday (18 October) say that it has closed permanently and would enter administration.

Jinn primarily focused on food delivery, but this has become a very crowded and competitive market in London. Two of the city’s main food delivery app players  – Hungryhouse and Just Eat – are looking to merge their operations and they have been provisionally cleared to do so by the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA).
