Pall-Ex hub nears completion

Pall-Ex is on schedule to open its purpose built hub near j22 of the M1 in mid-March. Construction is going well, although some hard standing for trailers may be slightly late due to frost this month. The company will use barcode scanning at the new hub, which will speed up turnaround – the system will show whenever an out-going load is ready for dispatch. Also new at the hub will be a compressed natural gas pump for road trucks, being installed by British Gas, in addition to a pump for the fork lift trucks. Meanwhile marketing director Alan Cramley adds that Germany, Benelux and Spain should go live by the end of the first quarter this year.
