DHL takes over distribution for Busak&Shamban
Customised solutions for shipping in Germany and Europe
Busak&Shamban has commissioned DHL with the European distribution of its products. DHL, the fully-owned Deutsche Post World Net subsidiary, delivers from the Stuttgart distribution centre to marketing companies and customers of the manufacturer of top-grade sealing systems in Germany and throughout Europe.
“DHL offers us the complete range of logistics services and allows us to configure the shipping of our goods as effectively as possible,” says Marc Hellerich, Shipping Manager at Busak&Shamban, in describing the advantages of DHL as logistics partner. Since the end of last year, Busak&Shamban has converted its logistics to a central distribution system. The finished products are brought from various production sites to Stuttgart, from where they are delivered throughout Europe. Following the United Kingdom, France, Sweden and Switzerland, this fall Spain, Finland and the Netherlands are the next countries to be integrated into the system. DHL stands by Busak&Shamban’s side as partner and service provider in this transformation. “We have fully oriented our logistics to the needs of our customers in order to ensure a smooth, cost-effective supply chain – DHL is a reliable and competent partner for us in this process,” relates Marc Hellerich.
In converting its logistics system, Busak&Shamban profits from the integration of Deutsche Post Euro Express, DHL and Danzas under the DHL brand. Carsten Leineweber, Branch Manager of DHL Express in Köngen, explains: “The customer can always choose the product that’s right for him from our broad range of solutions – from parcel services/express right up to part load.“ Shipment volume currently stands at 335,000 shipments annually, of which 148,000 alone are sent within Germany.
Accordingly, the successful relationship between DHL and Busak&Shamban on the European level, initiated by Corporate Account Manager John Burns, is transferred to the German market.
