JTA Pallet Distribution Ltd joins Pall-Ex

West Midlands based JTA Pallet Distribution Ltd has recently joined Pall-Ex, the UK’s largest overnight palletised distribution network, and will operate in the DY and WV postcodes. Formed over 20 years ago and with in excess of 20 vehicles, JTA regularly travels to all the business and industrial centres of the UK, Europe and the Eastern Bloc.

Pall-Ex required a dependable new member to handle consignments to and from the area so contacted JTA as it is recognised within the area for it’s reliable service and well established background. Many of the vehicles used are fully equipped to distribute hazardous goods and its experienced drivers are trained for such carriage, meaning that no job is beyond the remit of JTA.

JTA business development manager, Albert Hollyoak, explains why the decision was taken to join Pall-Ex.

“It was the most logical next step in our development. We have a lot to offer in terms of location and local knowledge. Pall-Ex is the ideal partner because of its standards of service and its impeccable credentials,” added Albert.

About Pall-Ex

Pall-Ex was established in 1996 by Hilary Sharples to cost effectively deliver small consignments of palletised goods around the UK using a pallet freighting system. In seven years, Pall-Ex has successfully established the UK’s largest “hub and spoke” palletised transport and logistics operation.

Located in the East Midlands, it now has 86 members throughout the UK, a fleet of over 5,750 vehicles, and is managed by the most sophisticated IT system in the industry – Pall-IT, helping it achieve an enviable record of 99.98% on-time delivery.

Recently, Pall-Ex has expanded its operation into Europe, launching Pall-Ex Scandinavia, to give customers a seamless service to and from key territories.

Pall-Ex also believes in giving back to its industry by supporting transport sector charity, Transaid, with its Penny-A-Pallet scheme, as well as other fund-raising events and activities. For more information on Transaid, visit www.transaid.org.
