TNT Logistics wins warehousing contract for Rabofacet

TNT Logistics Benelux and Rabofacet BV, part of the Rabobank Group, have signed a five-year contract under which Rabofacet will outsource to TNT Logistics its warehousing operations in Best, the Netherlands.

Starting 1st September 2003, TNT Logistics Benelux will be responsible for inbound, storage and outbound activities at its existing multi-user site in Eindhoven. The activities include supplying printed matter and consumables to parts of the Rabobank Group. Rabofacet currently carries out these activities under its own management. The contract provides for TNT Logistics Benelux to put the dedicated Rabofacet employees on its payroll.

“This contract shows again the strong position that TNT Logistics has in the banking sector in the Netherlands,” said Mr Onno Meij, Managing Director of TNT Benelux & Multi Country Logistics. “Our extensive experience in the print and paper sector, combined with our systems to support digital ordering, were factors that resulted in this challenging co-operation.”

“This move by Rabofacet fits in with the strategy of the Rabobank Group, which is aimed at developing core banking activities,” said Mr Kees Korenhoff, Director of Rabofacet Facilities.
