Toyota bringing Alexa to select vehicles this year

Toyota has announced that it will be bringing Amazon Alexa to select Toyota and Lexus vehicles in 2018.

Alexa is Amazon’s intelligent cloud-based voice service which allows user to summon up a wide range of service – including ordering goods and services and arranging their delivery.

Zack Hicks, Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Toyota Motor North America and Chief Executive Officer and President of Toyota Connected, said at the CES Exhibition in Las Vegas yesterday (9 January): “This makes Toyota and Lexus vehicles among the first to bring the convenience of Alexa into the car and onto the road.”
