Shoppers open to new delivery options – if they save time

Research from US-based product innovator SOTI has indicated that 60% consumers are comfortable with new delivery methods and technologies – if they help save time.

In a blog posted on SOTI website on Friday (12 January), Suneil Sastri, SOTI’s Director of Product Marketing, referenced a recent survey commissioned by the company which also indicated that 33% of consumers prefer in-home delivery methods, 29% are comfortable with drones, and 28% are “okay with autonomous vehicles”. These figures suggest that there may actually be quite a lot of resistance to new technology in some quarters – but the 60% statistic is more positive.
