JD.com expanding footprint

Chinese online retailer JD.com is reportedly looking to expand its presence with an investment in Vietnam’s e-commerce player Tiki.vn and also by ramping up its logistics activities.

According to two separate articles published by Reuters, JD.com participated in a recent funding round for Tiki which will make it one of e-commerce player’s largest shareholders – and it also reportedly invited a group of investors to participate in a funding round for its own logistics arm, JD Logistics.

Reuters said that JD.com declined to comment.
