DPDgroup reports €6.8bn turnover for 2017
Following Le Groupe La Poste’s announcement regarding its annual results yesterday (22 February), DPDgroup has reported that it achieved a turnover of €6.8bn in 2017.
DPDgroup’s sales for the year were up 11% on 2016. Volumes were up 10%, with 1.2bn parcels delivered worldwide.
In a statement issued on its website, the group said: “DPDgroup relies on a hybrid BtoB-BtoC network. The BtoB segment still accounts for 61% of DPDgroup’s volume business in 2017, but DPDgroup was one of the first BtoB operators in the market to make the strategic choice to expand into BtoC. As a result, 37% of DPDgroup’s turnover in 2017 came from the BtoC segment, compared to 34% in 2016.”
DPD a company that is offering 2.2% to it’s workers; holiday pay in some cases 50% below employees average pay. Non guaranteed overtime is used to make a living wage, and is removed at a moments notice. Staff turnover is at record levels. Shareholders can look forward to industrial action soon.
