GFS Logistics launched

Global Freight Solutions (GFS) has launched GFS Logistics, following the recent acquisition and transformation of two fulfilment facilities: Intermail, based in Newbury and The Fulfilling Station, based in Bristol.

In a statement sent to Post&Parcel yesterday (18 April), GFS said that the acquisitions have added around 50 extra warehouse & fulfilment staff, 100,000 sq. ft. of warehouse space and its own fleet of GFS collection vehicles.

According to GFS: “The addition of GFS Logistics to GFS Parcels and GFS Technology completes the trio of core components needed to fulfil the company’s ECM vision and establish itself as the go-to delivery expert for fast-growing B2C retailers and B2B businesses.”

Meanwhile, GFS has also announced two board-level appointments: Dave Field, Operations Director, bringing with him three decades of logistics and carrier management experience, including establishing the Ireland-based delivery firm, Nightline; and Bobbie Ttooulis, Group Marketing Director, previously from Experian with over 20 years’ experience in driving revenue growth and brand awareness.
