Europa’s Northern Powerhouse

Europa’s Northern Powerhouse

Europa Worldwide has reported that its Newcastle Road branch saw significant growth in the first quarter of the year.

The nine-strong team, based in Monkton Business Park in South Tyneside, achieved a 30% increase in turnover compared with the same time last year, while shipments have increased by 54%. Europa said this was down to a combination of new business and organic growth from their customer base.

The branch also saw many customers taking advantage of Europa’s MBX (Money Back Express) service. Europa launched the service in August 2017, offering new and existing customers a full refund of freight charges if Europa fails to deliver to the customer’s defined and agreed transit time.

Mat Jobson, Branch Manager at Europa Newcastle, said: “We couldn’t be happier with these figures, which are the result of a lot of hard work by the team. They reflect both the growing reputation of Europa as one of leading logistics providers in the country and the industrial confidence of the region we serve.

“The MBX Service has been a big hit with new and existing customers because it provides guaranteed efficiency, which gives Europa a great advantage. The automotive sector is hugely important to our business and I’m pleased that we’ve been able to expand our customer-base whilst providing the best possible service.”
