Mondi launching Re(use) packaging solution in Russia

Packaging and paper group Mondi is launching its latest e-commerce solution – Re(use) – in the Russian market.

Re(use) is a package which makes it easier for customers to return unwanted online purchases.

In a statement sent to Post&Parcel, Mondi said that it will be showing Re(use) at the RosUpack trade show in Moscow this week (26-29 June), and product will be available on the Russian market “late 2018”.

As Mondi explains it: “Re(use) is a one piece shipping solution featuring a double hot-melt application. The first hot-melt strip is used during fulfilment to tightly seal the package for dispatch, making additional plastic foil wrapping or bagging obsolete. The convenient tear-open strip – located between the two hot-melt strips – gives consumers easy access to their products upon receipt. If the product is not to their liking, the consumer can use the second hot-melt strip to quickly reseal the packaging and return it.”

Mariusz Sobieraj, Managing Director of Mondi Lebedyan commented: “This smart, yet simple, solution meets the growing demand of Russian customers for user-friendly packaging. Our easy-to-use, light and sustainable packaging solution helps brands stay competitive on the e-commerce market and boost brand loyalty.”

The packaging solution for e-commerce was first developed for the German and Polish e-commerce market for clothing, shoes and accessories.
