Thiel sells off more companies
Thiel Logistik, the Luxembourg based logistics provider, has continued its divestment strategy by disposing of three more companies related to the provision of specialist healthcare services. The three companies involved – Roeser GmbH, Medicforma.com GmbH and Subitec GmbH – have been sold to Jochen Roeser and the Roeser Group. However Thiel will retain its healthcare logistics operations.
Thiel has also sold software specialist Dorner (Dorner Verwaltungs-GmbH and Dorner GmbH & Co. KG) in the form of a management buy-out to the previous managing director Karl-Eugen Dorner. In addition it has also sold Thiel Technical Logistics + Services GmbH. The previous managing directors, Anton Gerold and Klaus Weinfurtner, acquired all the shares in the company – which specialises in logistics for electronic products – as part of a management buy-out.
The sale of these five companies carries on from where the company left off last month when Thiel sold a Swiss logistics company, BTL Logistics (also known as Brechtbuhl), to Swiss Post. The company hopes that by selling off non-core or duplicated operations it will be better able to focus on increasing the profitability of its remaining activities, as well balance its accounts from much needed income.
