CitySprint focuses on team spirit ahead of festive season

The UK’s same day distribution company, CitySprint is looking to hire more than 600 additional couriers in preparation for the Christmas rush.

The new recruits will join CitySprint’s fleet of more than 5,000 couriers across the UK, with the business hiring across a range of vehicles including van, motorbike, pushbike and cargo bike couriers.

They will help to ease the increased pressure on the delivery network throughout peak season, providing support across a number of segments including financial, legal, public sector clients.

Paul Gisbourne, CEO of CitySprint, commented: “Our focus is always on providing our clients with the best possible service, and in turn helping them do the same for their customers. Getting the festive-season supply chain right is difficult and we understand how important this time of year is for everyone. We’re making sure we have the right team in place to provide a first-class service for clients and to support the sharp rise in delivery volumes during this period.”

For CitySprint, the peak season starts around late October and runs all the way through to Christmas and into the new year, with 14th December being their busiest day last year.
