Courier companies to invest Pesos 800mil this year in Mexico

The package and mail courier companies which operate in Mexico, such as Aeromexpress Cargo, Airborne, DHL, Fedex, UPS, Servicio Continental de Mensajeria and Pegaso are planning to invest Pesos 800mil this year in equipment updating , says the industry organization, ANMEC (Asociacion Nacional Mexicana de Empresas Courier). These investments will generate around 3,400 direct and 20,000 indirect jobs. According to ANMEC, this industry serves more than 15mil people, companies and institutions in Mexico every year, amongst which are banks, department stores, communications companies, the maquiladora industry and autoparts exporters. ANMEC estimates that these companies save Pesos 19bil per year by using this type of service.
