FedEx Express completes acquisition of Israel’s Flying Cargo international division

FedEx Express, has completed the acquisition of the business and assets of the international express division of Israel’s FC (Flying Cargo) Express Ltd, the companies said this week, after working together via service agreements for 30 years.

Plans for the acquisition were announced in January.

Flying Cargo is an Israeli group of companies providing logistics services, warehousing, fulfilment and distribution of goods. FedEx Express began serving Israel in 1990 through Flying Cargo.

Bert Nappier, president of FedEx Express Europe and CEO of TNT said in January: “Israel has been and remains an important market for FedEx, and our strong reputation in the market is built on nearly 30 years of trust with our partner and the employees of Flying Cargo,” said Bert Nappier, president of FedEx Express Europe and CEO of TNT.  “This exciting acquisition..leverages that relationship to offer customers an even broader portfolio of services with a seamless link to our unrivalled global network.”
