ShipShapes First to Take Advantage of USPS Changes Allowing Direct Mail Attachments

ShipShapes, the pioneer in Customized MarketMail (CMM), is the first to take advantage of recent changes authorized by the United States Postal Service (USPS) that allow marketers to add attachments, such as a key, casino chip, product samples, compact disc, gift card or business reply card to CMM direct mail pieces.

CMM, a classification of mail approved by the USPS last year, allows for non-rectangular, over-dimensional pieces of mail to be shipped without a package, carton or envelope. ShipShapes allows direct marketers to take advantage of CMM to communicate with target customers and increase their return on investment.

“By attaching important consumer information, promotional items and samples to direct mail pieces, advertisers and marketers can increase their response rates and drive more sales leads,” said Tom Becker, CMM pioneer and president of ShipShapes.

ShipShapes are printed on a plastic specifically engineered to accept ink as well as the best paper stock and are designed to flex without creasing and retain their shape after coming out of the mailbox. Because of their high quality and durability, ShipShapes are excellent carriers for attachments and perforated items, including coupons and reply cards, that offer incentives and encourage audience response.

“ShipShapes is enabling marketers in nearly every industry — from pharmaceuticals to retail — to get more bang for their buck by increasing the value of their CMM pieces and boosting ROI,” added Becker.

While there are production costs for pieces with attachments, postage is the same as traditional CMM pieces. For more information about the new CMM pieces with attachments or to view a sample, call 1-866-774-2737 or visithttp://www.shipshapes.net/.
