Royal Mail retains multi-million pound Norwich Union contract
Royal Mail have announced the renewal of a multi-million pound contract to provide the UK’s biggest insurer Norwich Union with its range of distribution needs.
The contract incorporates mail services, a dedicated logistics solution providing the overnight delivery of documents between Norwich Union’s branches as well as a range of express services provided by Royal Mail and Parcelforce Worldwide.
Royal Mail has held the contract for five years and its performance in delivering a high quality of service was key to the renewal.
Richard Hall, Head of Distribution for Norwich Union, said: “Having a complete distribution contract with a strategic partner is very important to Norwich Union. It gives us not only the support and quality of service to maximise benefit, but also helps us control our costs within our business, enabling us to be more effective to our end customers.”
Royal Mail’s Head of Financial Services, Leonora Corden, said: “With increased competition in the mails market, large organisations are increasingly looking for delivery partners who can offer the range of services to meet their needs. They also demand a high quality of service and our ability to provide both has been instrumental in winning this contract.”
