AO announces logistics partnership with Aldi

Electricals retailer AO has signed a three year partnership with Aldi to help deliver its bulkier online orders.

The new collaboration will involve AO delivering Aldi’s ‘Specialbuys’ products. The grocer already offers an online service for wines and spirits, but the new three-year partnership with AO will help expand the online range to bulkier items such as barbecues, patio furniture and sports equipment.

Aldi will leverage AO’s two-person home delivery for these larger items, and will give its customers access to weekend delivery options and timed delivery windows already offered by the wider AO supply chain network.

“We are extremely proud of the award-winning logistics capability we have built here at AO,” said David Ashwell, managing director of AO Logistics. “There’s no better stamp of approval than other retailers, like Aldi, wanting to partner with us to help them deliver exceptional service to their customers.”
