Poste Italiane revenue to rise 10 pct Y/Y 2004

Italian state-owned postal services company Poste Italiane SpA will register year-on-year revenue increase of over 10 pct for 2004, the company CEO Massimo Sarmi, said.

Poste Italiane sustained of its operating costs at the 2003 level and earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) are expected to mark strong increase, Sarmi added.

The company has an investment plan of some 800 mln euro ($1. 048 bln) which will help it consolidate and strengthen its infrastructure, Sarmi said.
