DHL wins logistics contract from PepsiCo’s German unit

Deutsche Post World Net AG’s express mail unit DHL said it has won a contract to handle nearly 80 pct of PepsiCo Inc’s logistics in Germany. The company said the contract is worth ‘millions’ of euros. DHL has agreed to transport about 250,000 tonnes of beverages from four domestic and international PepsiCo locations to retail stores. DHL has more than 160,000 employees and posted sales totalling 22 bln eur in 2003.
