Asda trials George parcel returns with home shopping deliveries

UK supermarket Asda has launched a new trial scheme in two stores which enables customers to return George parcels at the same time as they receive their online grocery deliveries.

Customers participating in the trial, which was launched last week through Asda stores in York and Milton Keynes, receive instant confirmation of their returns.

Emma Ford, Senior Director of Operations Development for Online Grocery at Asda, commented: “We’re pleased to offer George.com shoppers in York and Milton Keynes the option hand back items they’re not completely happy with to our Asda Home Shopping Drivers, for a simple door-to-door delivery and returns service.

“We know that visiting a local store or collection point to send unwanted items back can be tricky if customers don’t live nearby or have the time.

“As we all get used to the ‘new normal’ online shopping is still extremely popular and this latest trial gives customers the convenience of doing everything from home.”
