Mail partnership offers alternative to Royal Mail UK

DX Services, the B2B mail network, has signed a deal with high street postal services company Mail Boxes Etc (MBE), to target small- to medium-sized businesses.

The service is currently being rolled out through MBE’s 96 UK franchised outlets. Although DX has 4,500 document exchange collection points in the UK, it lacks visibility as many of these are in shared office facilities.

Companies will be able to walk into MBE stores to use one of two services: Assure DX, which offers guaranteed next day delivery; and Signe DX, a signature service. Post is handled by DX’s own network, including final mile delivery.

DX clients include Tesco, the Land Registry, British Gas and many of the UK’s law firms. The company handles 360 million items a year.

Launching the new service, Peter Brougham, chief executive of DX Services said the venture gave SMEs a real alternative to Royal Mail. “Together MBE and DX will be able to offer convenient high street access to a UK-wide mail service and an end-to-end distribution network.”
