DHL Express expects USD35 mln revenue in Argentina 2005

DHL Express expects revenue in Argentina to grow by 20 pct year-on-year to $35 mln (29.7 mln euro) in 2005, DHL Express chief executive for Argentina, Sergio Del Casale, said on November 25, 2005.

DHL Express projected 15 pct year-on-year revenue growth in Argentina in 2006, reflecting the strong performance in the small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) sector.

Argentina’s express delivery market totals some $70 mln (59.5 mln euro) annually. DHL currently handles 50 pct of the country’s express deliveries abroad and 25 pct of the express deliveries to Argentina. The largest part of the express deliveries is destined to the Mercosur trade bloc, composed of Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay and Paraguay.

DHL operates in Argentina since 1947.
