Ukrposhta post offices closed

Ukraine’s national post, Ukrposhta, has announced that the country’s post office were closed today (24 February), as a result of the current crisis.

In an understandably brief message posted on its website, Ukrposhta announced: “Due to the introduction of martial law, in order to maintain your safety and the safety of our employees, Ukrposhta post offices will be closed on 24 February. As soon as the situation allows, we will immediately deliver your parcels and pensions, and we will keep them for now.

“Currently, the sky over Ukraine is temporarily restricted for air transportation. We are monitoring the situation and will deploy a surface delivery route when necessary.

“Thank you for your understanding and we wish you all peace!”
