Portugal CTT Expresso best European express mail operator

CTT Expresso, a subsidiary of Portugal’s postal operator CTT-Correios de Portugal, has been awarded as the best express mail service operator in Europe, Portuguese economic news portal Agencia Financeira reported on April 17, 2006.

CTT Expresso received the silver certificate in the EMS Certification Awards, which are annually organised by EMS Cooperative, an association created by the United Nations (UN) as part of the Universal Postal Union project.

CTT Expresso is considered also the 11th best performing express mail operator worldwide among a total 196 sector companies.

EMS Cooperative currently is responsible for the coordination and management of all issues related to the postal services sector worldwide. EMS Cooperative aims at improving and developing express mail services on the world market.

CTT Expresso is 100 pct controlled by CTT.
