Former Lufthansa chief Weber to head Deutsche Post supervisory board

Former Deutsche Lufthansa chief Jurgen Weber is to become head of the supervisory board at logistics company Deutsche Post AG, Die Welt reported.

The newspaper said that after six years at the helm of the supervisory board, Josef Hattig will step down May 10.

Weber, considered to be a favourite candidate of current Deutsche Post chief Klaus Zumwinkel, is looked at with mistrust by other workforce representatives, according to the paper.

He would head the supervisory board until November 2008, the paper added.
