Dutch TNT Post wins court case on use of word 'Post' in Germany
The court in Nuremberg, Germany, has ruled in favour of Dutch mail and logistics company TNT NV’s mail division TNT Post, which may continue using the word ‘post’ in Germany, TNT said on April 27, 2006.
The court ruled against Deutsche Post and dismissed its claim against competitor TNT Post (www.tnt.com).
Deutsche Post has been challenged by the use of the word ‘post’ by other companies for years, repeatedly saying, it would undertake legal actions through to the highest court if necessary. The court ruled against Deutsche Post also in other cases.
Deutsche Post (www.deutschepost.de) said, it would appeal the judgment of the court in Nuremberg.
