Hurricane Commerce: Having high quality data from first file to last mile is non-negotiable

Delivery management platform Scurri has selected Hurricane Commerce as its global data partner.

The fast-growing business is initially adopting Hurricane’s data enhancement Zephyr technology to ensure the seamless movement of cross-border parcels.

Scurri, which has offices in the UK and Ireland, counts eCommerce merchants, platforms and 3PLs among its customers.

The company’s platform enables customers to ship anywhere in the world by accessing its network of global and national carriers.

Rory O’Connor, CEO of Scurri, said: “Our delivery management platform connects everything and everyone that is involved in getting orders from the retailer to the customer in a single platform.

“In every step of this journey technology plays a critical part. The adoption of Hurricane’s AI-driven, real-time solutions is a vital addition to our offering.

“Our customers depend on us to help them to scale, save money, improve efficiency, and deliver a better customer experience.

“In today’s cross-border eCommerce, having complete, accurate and compliant data is of critical importance in enabling us to meet these demands.

“Hurricane is the leader in its field, and we are delighted to be harnessing its solutions on our platform.”

Hurricane’s Zephyr API ensures that shipments have the right data – including HS6 codes, product descriptions and 8- and 10- digit import and export codes – to pass smoothly through customs and on to the end consumer.

The company’s other solution, Aura, covers the three critical cross-border areas of duty and tax calculation, denied parties screening, and prohibited and restricted goods screening.

Martyn Noble, CEO of Hurricane Commerce, said: “We are delighted that Scurri has selected Hurricane as its cross-border data provider.

“Both of our businesses are fast growth, entrepreneurial and committed to ensuring our customers receive the best possible experience.

“Having high quality data from first file to last mile is non-negotiable in today’s highly regulated and complex global eCommerce.”
