SNAS/DHL opens state of the art express center in Abha

The refurbishment and relocation of the Abha center reaffirms SNAS/DHL’s long-term commitment to the Kingdom and heralds further expansion of capacity and investment amid a boom in the Saudi express and logistics market.

The strategy was announced at a ceremony held at the opening of the new center on the Abha Khamis Mushait highway. The event was attended by David Wilson, Country Manager and Paul Chader Sales & Marketing Manager SNAS/DHL Saudi Arabia. Other senior management executives present included Mr. Ayman Kasem, Sales Manager and Abraham Tibu, Station Supervisor, Abha.

SNAS/DHL, the world’s leading express and Logistics Company, has opened its newly built to suit state of the art express center in Abha.

SNAS/DHL will execute a series of major initiatives in 2006, including investing in their infrastructure in rural areas across the Kingdom. SNAS/DHL will also increase the number of branches from the current 42 nationwide, boosting its role as a trade facilitator and providing even more efficient support for the economic development among the different regions of the Kingdom. Through a comprehensive upgrading of network, infrastructure and human resources capabilities, the Abha center will significantly strengthen SNAS/DHL’s market leadership in Saudi Arabia, and highlight its strong confidence in the Saudi market.

David Wilson said,

“Over the last 30 years, SNAS/DHL has consistently proven to be the leader in innovation and network investment. Today, the Kingdom has become one of the fastest-growing markets within DHL global network, and is strategically important to DHL’s global operations. By unveiling the new center in Abha, SNAS/DHL is demonstrating its confidence in achieving even better results and delivering on its long-term commitment to the Saudi market through enhanced investment and partnership.”

SNAS/DHL has scored impressive achievements in the 30 years of successful partnership with local companies, including recording double-digit annual growth rates in the past few years. The company has consistently maintained and strengthened its leadership position in the Kingdom’s international express and logistics market.

The Abha SNAS/DHL center, with a total floor area of over 600 square meters, is located on the Khamis Mushait highway, opposite to United Motors. The state-of-the-art facilities will boost SNAS/DHL already unrivalled capability and capacity for both air and ground operations in the Southern region of the Kingdom.
