DHL delivered 4 pct fewer packages in Germany last year

DHL delivery service handled 7.1 mln international packages in Germany last year, down 4 pct from 7.4 mln in the year-earlier period, according to internal company statistics obtained by Manager Magazine.

In an advance release of an article to appear in this week’s edition, the magazine also said that rivals United Parcel Service and Fedex increased their shipments in the German market by 9 pct.
