Estonia: Baltic Logistic System boosts H1 sales by half

Baltic Logistic System Estonia (BLS Estonia) has posted sales of 30.1 million kroons (EUR 1.92 mln) for the first six months of 2006, a 48 percent increase over the same period of 2005.

The number of parcels handled by BLS Estonia also grew by half, to 537,000 parcels, the company announced.

In the fall BLS Estonia will start bringing its services under a single trade mark, DPD.

“In addition to that we are planning novelties in product development, such as a new bar code system, introduction of the Pan-Baltic Express 12 service, and introduction of three uptake and delivery rounds in Tallinn in the same-day service instead of the present one round,” BLS Estonia manager Tarmo Tael said.

BLS has been on the Estonian market since 1999 and is part of GeoPost since September 2004.

Total sales by BLSE Estonia in 2005 reached 45.48 million kroons. The company represents the BIZPAK and DPD brands.
