PayPoint: consumers across the UK are doubling down when it comes to taking advantage of online deals

New data from Collect+, the in-store parcel service from PayPoint, shows that over 3 million parcels (3,178,906) were processed over Black Friday (24 November – 03 December), a 45% increase in UK parcel traffic when compared to the same period last year.

With an additional million parcels processed (1,169,096) compared to last Black Friday, the increase reflects consumers looking to take advantage of big deal days to maximise on the discounts being offered.

The data comes from Collect+, the largest carrier agnostic parcel network in the UK of over 10,000 local stores, working with leading brands like Amazon, eBay, Yodel, DPD, DHL, Fedex, InPost and UPS.

Nick Williams, Director of Parcel Services at PayPoint, said: “Despite challenging economic conditions, consumers across the UK are doubling down when it comes to taking advantage of online deals and offers, and this year’s Black Friday was no different.”

“It’s testament to our retail partners who have gone above and beyond in processing record numbers of both parcel collections and returns.”
