Kenya Post transformation: all postal payments to be made online

Kenyans seeking postal services will now have to make payments through the e-Citizen platform reports Kenyan news website, The Star.

In a notice on Tuesday, the Postal Corporation of Kenya stated that the move was necessitated by the directive to have all government services on e-Citizen.

“Postal Corporation of Kenya wishes to inform our esteemed customers and the public that payments of all Postal Services shall now be made through the E-citizen platform.

In addition to that, Posta is giving a 20 per cent discount for new address renters.

PCK is a commercial State Enterprise operating under the PCK Act 1998. The Corporation’s mission is to provide the Public and Private Sector with end-to-end, reliable seamless universal Postal and Courier Services.

The President William Ruto-led administration last year in July embarked on a journey to revamp the Postal Corporation of Kenya (PCK).

Cabinet Secretary for Information, Communication and the Digital Economy Eliud Owalo revealed that the government has started to deliver medicine using postal services.

“Posta is delivering medical-related supplies to medical facilities. This includes scaling up citizen access to essentials such as mosquito nets in collaboration with Kenya Medical Supplies Agency,” he said.P
