Royal Mail CEO steps down

Emma Gilthorpe, Royal Mail’s Chief Executive, stepped down from her role after just over a year. She will be replaced by the Chief Operating Officer,  Alistair Cochrane in the interim. 

Emma came to Royal following her role as  Chief Operating Officer at Heathrow Airport. Emma held a variety of senior roles at Heathrow during her time there including leading Strategy, Regulation and Sustainability. She previously worked in a variety of strategy, policy and commercial roles in the telecommunications sector at BT and Cable and Wireless.
