Pall-Ex Group launches carbon reporting tool
UK pallet network, Pall-Ex Group, has announced the latest development in its journey to achieving net zero, NexusCO2.
As part of Pall-Ex Group’s core operational system, NexusCO2 is set to deliver the most accurate carbon reporting in the industry, tracking vehicle type, mileage and CO2 output for every delivery route and consignment to support the network’s sustainability commitment.
Pall-Ex Group’s shareholder members and customers will gain access to automatically generated data reports evidencing the carbon footprint of every consignment and track the progress of Pall-Ex’s commitment to reduce emissions.
New for 2026, NexusCO2 will give Pall-Ex Group’s shareholder members and customers the framework to meet sustainability targets and drive greener decision-making. With customers demanding transparency around carbon data, the development of NexusCO2 is an essential advancement to reinforce Pall-Ex Group’s position as leaders in sustainability in the express freight and logistics industry.
NexusCO2 tracks emissions at every point in the delivery lifecycle, calculating the distance from collection, across every depot and hub movement and through to the final delivery point. This enables the system to calculate the amount of kgCO2e produced throughout the entire delivery journey with a breakdown per movement. The CO2 data reported is based on the individual vehicle specifications provided by every shareholder member, ensuring it is accurate and precise.
The introduction of the NexusCO2 reporting tool is an important step forward as Pall-Ex Group work towards achieving net zero by 2040, with accurate sustainability reporting providing data for internal emissions reduction strategies.
Dave Dunhill, Chief Technology Officer at Pall-Ex Group, comments: “The development of NexusCO2 is a significant advancement for the business and has been driven by demand from members and customers who are looking to reduce their carbon emissions in line with government targets.
“In our recent sustainability policy, Pall-Ex Group committed to demonstrating measurable reductions in carbon emissions across the business. By providing members and customers with visibility through NexusCO2, we can ensure accountability across the wider network as we work to achieve net zero by 2040.”
